Insurance reimbursement

Today, many patients may receive reimbursement for their insulin. If you need assistance with reimbursement for Levemir® (insulin detemir [rDNA origin] injection), you can contact our call center at 1-800-727-6500.

Please have all your insurance information available when you call. This includes your managed care plan name and your specific group number.

Diabetes Patient Assistance Program

Making our products available to people who need but cannot afford them is part of Novo Nordisk’s commitment to helping people with diabetes. Any patients who meet the eligibility requirements can receive Levemir® or any other Novo Nordisk product free of charge with no time limits—as long as patients maintain their eligibility.

Medicare Part D

Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage is a prescription drug benefit through Medicare. If you’re enrolled and your Medicare Part D plan includes Levemir®, a portion of the cost of Levemir® may be covered.
